How far in advance should I plan to order my wedding cake or wedding desserts?

Many publications suggest ordering a cake about 8 weeks in advance of your wedding date.  We disagree!  We book weddings on a first come, first serve basis, and we only take a certain number of weddings per weekend.   We suggest booking a consultation appointment with us at least 6 months in advance.  Keep in mind our Saturday appointments book up about 2-3 weeks in advance.

How do I make an appointment for a wedding tasting and consultation? 

Appointments are scheduled Tuesday through Friday, between and 11:00AM and 4:00 PM, and Saturday between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.  Our Saturday appointments book up quickly, so please contact us at least 2-3 weeks in advance for a Saturday appointment.  We allow up to 4 guests and 1 hour for your appointment.   Appointments are taken no more than 12 months in advance of your wedding. How much lead time is required for a custom order? 

We require a minimum 14 days and ideally one to two months notice for a custom cake, especially during our busy season –  April to October

What do you require to book an order?

We require a non-refundable 50% deposit to book your date.  The balance will be due 14 days prior to your wedding or event along with any final order changes.  In some cases, changes cannot be accommodated, so please plan accordingly.

Do you have a minimum order requirement? 

Yes, we do.  Our minimum order requirement for wedding orders is $450.  Our minimum order requirement for custom cakes is $150.

Will you deliver? 

We are based in Thousand Oaks, California and will, for a fee deliver custom cakes, wedding cakes, and large event orders within a certain geographical area.  The fee based on the size of the order and the distance from our location. Please contact us for delivery fee quotes.  We have a minimum order of $350 to offer delivery.  For cakes three tiers or larger, we require that they be delivered.

What if I have a food allergy? 

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT FOOD PREPARED HERE MAY CONTAIN THESE INGREDIENTS: MILK, EGGS, WHEAT, SOYBEAN PRODUCTS, PEANUTS, &  TREE NUTS.  All of our products are made on shared equipment.  We do our best to contain nuts and nut products and all equipment is sanitized after each use, however, we cannot guarantee any of our products to be allergen free.

What payment methods do you accept? 

We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard and Discover and American Express.  We also accept online payments via our invoicing system.

What is your cancellation policy? 

Wedding deposits and custom cake order deposits are non-refundable.  In some cases, we allow for store credit, however each situation is unique and handled accordingly.
